I don't think this necessarily needs to be done by the creators of ML, but by the users. More publicity should be done outside of ML.
I tried for several days to contact someone (still haven't been able to :-), because we don't connect at the same time :-( Notifications with mail would be nice, or even some kind of mailbox inside ML with notification by mail would be ok also. There is no way to make an appointement with someone, or some kind of "presence" outside of ML. The only feature currently present in ML, is by pressing F1, to see if some friend is connected. Badges/Achievements are so powerful that sometimes they may be the only goal inthe game, look at ).įinding a way to make space gain some "value" Some badges may be sold/made by users (BUT they must be unique), which would also solve the problem of finance on Philipp & Scott's point of view :-) Some other badges must be earned (many sites use this technique, like, they even sell patches, like, or HabitRPG with. Badges, from what I understood are on their way, but without uniqueness in the user representation, I'm not sure this will work. Making AND showing that each user is UNIQUE (Making bodies harder to get/obtain). Now, what can be done (or more precisely, what could Philipp & Scott do :-)? That also makes many people think they can do anything (I let you guess). No real uniqueness in bodies, no real uniqueness in names. So, here too, there is no real value/importance to users. I think users are too "anonymous" (maybe anonymous is not eactly the correct word). That's because users arrive there! That's why so many sofas & chairs have been put, because that's the ONLY place where people can meet/chat/interact. The only place with value is the place where every user connects (world 3), around the entrance. Having inifinite space meant space hadn't any value. And then, the more I played, the more I realized, that it wasn't such a good idea. I even tried to go to the edge/end (up), and failed :-). Regarding these personal areas, there are some beautiful or interesting places (beerk knight, or the adventure area from Godiva) but they are exceptionnaly rare, and there is no central place to find them, so a new user will NEVER find them.Īt first I thought that having an inifinite space was really cool. Nothing stays, so you can't place anything of value there. Most of what you'll find in the outer world is unorganized trash and constantly being formatted/reformatted/erased/modified so it becomes a soup/mess (increase of entropy means more mess). There is absolutely no difference anywhere you go ( even in the inner world). From my point of view, here is some criticism I have
